Her final words to Hugo were "go die in hell". Paris claims to have spent the night in Hugo's car but refuses to reveal the location she went or what she was doing in the hours following their argument. She was also intoxicated. Hugo had cheated on Paris, giving her motive for revenge. In the first few days of the investigation Paris was uncooperative and tried to convince everyone that Hugo was probably just "looking for attention".
